National Evaluation Authority<\/h1>\n

The National Agency for the Evaluation of Education, Training and Scientific Research Systems, established under the Council, is responsible for conducting comprehensive, sectoral and thematic evaluations of the education, training and scientific research system, as well as related public policies and programmes, in order to assess their pedagogical and financial effectiveness and the extent to which they achieve their objectives, based on internationally recognised evaluation standards.<\/p>\n

Through its evaluation work and accumulated expertise, the National Evaluation Agency serves as the analytical body of the Council. It produces studies and analytical reports that enrich the Council\u2019s opinions and recommendations, allowing the executive branch to use them to review and improve adopted public policies in the field of education.<\/p>\n

The Agency also works on the development of methodological frameworks and evaluation tools that comply with international standards, enabling the Council to continuously monitor the evolution of the education, training and scientific research system, evaluate its performance, and support its reforms.<\/p>\n

These activities also allow the General Assembly to be regularly informed about the situation in specific sectors or public policies, or the evaluation of certain programmes and reforms.<\/p>\n

The missions of the National Evaluation Agency are defined, in accordance with regulatory text No. 105.12 of the Higher Council for Education, Training and Scientific Research, as follows:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Carry out comprehensive, sectoral and thematic evaluations of public policies and programmes in the national education system, higher education, and executive training;<\/li>\n
  • Evaluation:\n
      \n
    • Pedagogical and financial effectiveness in relation to set objectives, based on international standards used in education system evaluations;<\/li>\n
    • Internal and external efficiency of the education, training and scientific research system;<\/li>\n
    • Quality of services provided to students;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        \n
      • Design evaluation tools to fulfil their evaluation mission, in order to improve the education and scientific research system;<\/li>\n
      • Ensure the collection of all information related to the education system;<\/li>\n
      • Organise hearings with government officials in the education, training and scientific research sectors;<\/li>\n
      • Present the results of work and evaluation reports (produced by the Agency) before the General Assembly;<\/li>\n
      • Examine questions submitted by the Council and report the results of its work;<\/li>\n
      • Ensure that the Authority\u2019s competencies do not encroach upon those of the Council\u2019s commissions;<\/li>\n
      • Effectively contribute to the powers of the Council as set out in Articles 3, 4 and 5 of the aforementioned law.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        The tasks assigned by law to the National Evaluation Agency must be carried out within the framework of the Council\u2019s independence, as a constitutional institution.<\/p>\n
