They are elected by the General Assembly from among its members for a term of two and a half years, renewable once. The Council\u2019s rules of procedure set forth the procedures for these elections.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition, the chairs of the Council\u2019s standing committees are members of the Council\u2019s Executive Committee.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: right;\">\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Council&#8217;s office assists the president in preparing and implementing the decisions made by the Council.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Council Bureau reviews requests for opinions submitted to the Council and forwards them, for study and review, to the relevant committees, special working groups, or the National Agency for the Evaluation of the Education, Training, and Scientific Research System, depending on their area of expertise.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Council\u2019s Bureau reviews the findings of the committees, special working groups, and the national body responsible for evaluating the education, training, and scientific research system, and decides on the appropriate follow-up actions.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Office of the President assists in setting the agenda for General Assembly sessions.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Council Bureau approves the annual program of activities for the National Agency for the Evaluation of the Education, Training, and Scientific Research System.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Council\u2019s Bureau reviews the evaluation reports prepared by that body and forwards them to the General Assembly in accordance with the procedures set forth in the Council\u2019s rules of procedure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Council Bureau defines the responsibilities of temporary committees and special working groups, their operating procedures, and the duration of their mandate, and appoints their members from among the Council members.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row content_placement=&#8221;middle&#8221; type=&#8221;vc_default&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1771879737859{border-radius: 15px !important;}&#8221; el_class=&#8221;bg-sec&#8221;][vc_column css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1765883164589{border-radius: 10px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;] Council Office [\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row gap=&#8221;15&#8243; type=&#8221;vc_default&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1768913832249{margin-top: 30px !important;margin-bottom: 50px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_widget_sidebar show_bg=&#8221;false&#8221; sidebar_id=&#8221;sidebar_6&#8243; el_class=&#8221;rtlcst&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;3\/4&#8243;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;] In addition to the Chair, the Council\u2019s Executive Committee consists of nine members representing the three categories that make up the Council.
